“Project Honduras Internship Program”
The Project Honduras Internship Program (I.T.S. Program) offers a 30, 60 and 90 day internship opportunity in Roatan, Honduras. Our objective is to give interns an opportunity to be exposed to training and skill development in areas such as education, ministry and medical. This internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to mission work in an underdeveloped country.
Internship requires a 30, 60 or 90 day commitment. Selected interns will be provided a detailed schedule of their day to day functions. Upon arrival in Honduras Interns will receive a detailed orientation and an introduction to his or her mentor. The I.T.S. program staff will be available at all times overseeing the interns work and ensuring their overall well being while in Honduras. A staff member of Project Honduras and I.T.S. will be there to familiarize interns with the cultural context of the country, program operations and general security-related issues. Upon completion of the program, a comprehensive evaluation of the intern will be achieved by the I.T.S. Program Director and the Executive Director of Project Honduras.
This unique and exciting opportunity allows interns a choice to work within a local hospital, the Methodist Church of the Americas and the Caribbean, the Methodist Bilingual Education center and or in the Mission field of Project Honduras. You will work and live in a different part of the world, gain understanding of a new culture and experience how God motivates people just like you to learn and serve beyond their present realities and comfort zones
